How to Install Firefly Swaying Lights(Basic Parts Easy to Assemble)?
This is a step-by-step guide to learn how to illuminate your area by installing our Firefly Swaying Light.
Tools:
Wire Strippers
Flat-blade shovel
Supplies:
OHIJOY® Firefly Sway Lights M01(Basic)
Low-voltage cable
Low-voltage transformer
Outdoor timer
Timer for an electrical outlet
Step 1:Make a Plan
Before you start, plan an ideal installation layout by fully considering the power outlet, wire layout, transformer installation, and timer installation. Then mark places where the luminaries will be installed.
Step 2:Lay out the Components
Unboxing the OHIJOY® Firefly Sway Lights M01(Basic), put light bodies on the ground where they’ll be installed. Then lay the low-voltage electrical cable and dig a shallow trench in which the cable will be buried in it with a shovel.
Position the Low-voltage transformer and the timer near an electrical outlet.
Step 3:Install Assemble Parts
Attach the stem, the stake, and the light body firmly.
Step 4:Make the Electrical Connections
Since low-voltage outdoor lighting only has two conductors, you do not have to worry about polarity.
- Pull apart cable and strip wires to expose the copper ends of them using the stripper.
-Take the exposed copper ends and twist them (clockwise) tightly together.
-Insert the wire connections firmly into the connectors and twist them clockwise.
*It is normal for some of the silicone to come out. Simply wipe it off with a cloth.
Step 5:Install Stake to Ground
Using both hands, push the fixture and its stake into the ground until the top of the stake is flush with the ground.
NOTE: If the ground is hard and the stake is difficult to install, make a crosscut by using a flat shovel.
Step 6:Connect to the Low-voltage Transformer and Timer
Run the cable up to the outdoor electrical outlet. Then make the electrical connections of the cable and the lead wire of the transformer. Install the transformer and the timer to the electrical outlet as planned.
Step 7:Test the Connection
Once the connectors are successfully installed, plug the low-voltage transformer and the timer into a GFCI-protected outdoor electrical outlet.
Step 8: Bury the Cables
After the test is good, then bury the cables in the shallow trench if necessary.
